Quote of the week:"The dreams of yesterday are the hopes of today and the reality of tomorrow." - Robert Goddard Hello friends! My whole life has changed suddenly! I started practicing daily affirmations and when I tell you, everything has changed. It has! I used to feel so terrible on the inside about a lot of things that we'll get through as we progress through more newsletters, but it's been hard for me for a long time. I've been through a lot, but one thing has remained consistent - I've always been there for myself. I love who I've become, but the road to get here did not come without its challenges. Positive affirmations and practicing meditation daily have completely changed my thoughts, my progress toward my goals, and my overall well-being. I feel so unstoppable!! It all started when I traveled to San Antonio, Texas, and ate out at a restaurant alone. If you haven't watched the vlog of that experience, you totally should! That was the starting point of the change that I'm feeling. I was ready to quit my full-time job. I was ready to go ghost and fall off the face of the planet, but something about that trip changed everything for me. Click here to watch the San Antonio Travel Vlog. I spent 3 days out there and experienced some things. Have you ever had a turning-point experience or a life-changing experience that changed everything for the better? It was a moment where I just got tired of feeling the way I was feeling. I got tired of feeling anxious, sad, stressed, unsure, or whatever negative feeling I was feeling. I was just done! Like, this world is my making. Last week I started thinking, "If my reality is truly created by my thoughts, then let's change those thoughts. Let's just see what will happen if I try something different this week. What if I practiced those daily meditations and self-love affirmations? What if I listen to my therapist and do some breathwork to calm down my nervous system and anxiety?" Even after practicing it for a day, my whole life changed. I made the affirmations more real for me. I refused to let myself feel a negative emotion or think a negative thought for more than 5 seconds. I would immediately change my thoughts to something more positive which made me feel better almost immediately. The practice of changing my thoughts instantly highlighted the fact that I had so many negative thoughts popping off in my mind. I don't let myself sit in misery any longer. I immediately think, "Everything in my life is perfect." "I am safe, secure, loved and adored." Thinking those two affirmations alone caused things to shift around me. Things would just fall into my lap. I truly felt like people started to show more love towards me. I felt successful all week despite crazy things happening. Everything in my life is perfect. I'll list the affirmations I've resonated with this week in a section below. Nonetheless, I've become a different person. I feel clean on the inside and it's GREAT! I'll continue to practice daily affirmations and meditation and let you know how it goes as we get through more newsletters. Something worth telling:This section contains something I've been burning to tell you! Do you know how to play an instrument? I'm primarily a flute player and last week I had a performance with a choir. It was pretty cool being a soloist again. I've been playing flute since I was 12 and have not stopped performing since I started. It's so cool!! Playing music with other people is so much fun! I would love to know if you're a musician as well! Are you? I vlogged my week last week so be sure to check out my YouTube channel if you're interested! Quote of the week: "Create the life you can't wait to wake up to." Hello friends! This week has been a whirlwind of a week! It started so rocky with an old friend and now it's steadily getting more awkward. Do you know why? Because I did something they didn't expect me to do. I took myself out of this box that they created for me. I did something to better myself that had nothing to do with them. It didn't hurt them in any way. This person didn't know about something that doesn't concern them...
Quote of the week: "Consistency doesn't mean never messing up, it means never giving up." Hello friends! What a week it has been! I just got back from a family vacation. We went to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Here's what that trip taught me: If you want to test the dynamic of your family, go on a family vacation to Disney World. I. Am. Telling. You. It will highlight so many things about people you didn't even know was a thing. I was pissed the entire trip pretty much. I had to spend...
Quote of the week: "Repetition dissolves disbelief." Hello friends! The last two weeks have gone by so fast! I completely lost track of time and my days. It all started with this work conference that I went to in San Antonio, Texas. Have you ever been there? The weather was absolutely beautiful! It was windy with a high of 72 degrees most days. It was a huge contrast to what it was like in Dallas, Texas at the time. Have you ever been to Dallas? The weather in Dallas was cold and gloomy... so...
